The Abstract is a small family-owned business established in 1980. The shop is located in a building at the rear of our house on the southwest side of Indianapolis. It is fifteen minutes from downtown, ten minutes from the Indianapolis International Airport and easily accessible from I-465 and I-70. It is open by chance or appointment.
Currently we are focusing on more unusual books and ephemera with some concentration in art, architecture, books on books, children's books, entertainment, history, horticulture, Indiana and travel. Our collection of 20,000 hardcovers includes books in slovenian and german. Of course fiction is also generously represented.
We look forward to visits in person and via the Internet.
Terms of Sale:
Payment with order by check on U. S. bank, money order, MC/VISA/American Express. Libraries may be billed. Please add $3.50 for the first book and $1.00 for each additional book for special U.S. 4th class shipping. Contact us for foreign shipments, or to make other arrangements for domestic shipping. Books are shipped with 48 hours and returnable within 10 days with prior notification. Indiana residents please add 6% sales tax.
